Excellent teaching video dealing with OSAS

Wow. This teaching is powerful. He compares the teachings of Jesus directly against popular OSAS folks such as John Calvin, Charles Stanley, Charles Swindoll, and John MacArthur. If you are a fan of these teachers, you owe it to yourself to compare what they say against Scripture.
This is Scripture based teaching. Joe makes an interesting comparison of the lies of Satan with OSAS claims.

Hi Jim,

I listened to about the first half hour of this video. Though I believe scripture teaches we cannot lose our salvation, I also believe God's grace in the believer's life is not a license to sin. It seems like that was what this pastor was saying, that OSAS teaches this. Paul addresses this in Romans. In 1:5 says he received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith, not the license then to freely sin in the faith. I'm sure you are familiar with Romans 6 where Paul exclaims that may it never be that we use grace as a means to continue in sin. In 6:16 Paul says we are slaves of whom we obey, sin resulting in death, or obedience resulting in righteous. Those who go back to a pattern of unbroken sin I believe were never saved. Those on whom the gospel falls and there is a profession of faith and perhaps even some fruit but then walk away, I believe God never began a work in their heart. Please know that I am not in the OSAS camp that believes that once you make a profession of faith you can then live like the devil and have assurance of salvation. The person who believes this or has been taught this has been deceived.

I also wanted to tell you I admire you work in the cave for the prewrath position. The Beloved there will be ready for discussing it I think when we see more signs. I think at this point however I will probably not bring up the topic as it only seems to cause discord. If you feel lead however to continue to battle for what I believe is the truth, know I'm praying for you.

Blessing to you...Kathy

And here I go and say that I wasn't going to discuss it anymore in the Cave! Lisa seems to be interested however so if it doesn't get too hot I'll discuss the scriptures with her. I just keep coming back to the church being rescued out of the great tribulation and then God's wrath falls, on the same day.

I also wanted to tell you about a sermon Kristen's pastor preached just yesterday. It is about putting your faith to the test. It's out of Romans 8 and it's really good!
